Great omelette rice and i tried their bottled peach soda as well, very contented meal on the island. It needs to queue a bit so try to avoid busy hours like 12-1pm on weekend.

This is a great place for lunch, its in a small wooden house slightly elevated and have a nice view. The staff is friendly and helpful. I recommend the omelette rice with tomato sauce which was delicious. They also have a good selection of coffee.

Got a table for two with a late phone call. Nice place with friendly staff and good atmosphere. Food was very tasty, well presented, beer was good too as was the cheesecake. Not many eating options on this side of Naoshima island. Recommended.

Great place. Good mix of locals with the standard island gaijin. Really cool staff, recommended sitting at the bar and finishing the evening with some Japanese whiskey.

Even on an island with relatively few option I would skip this one.We waited for an hour in line, they said and in the menu it was written they have vegetarian food, but after we a ordered they apologized that at the end they have no vegi dish.The only dish we ordered was a wired combination of rice omelet and tomato sauce (which contained chicken stock) Get a sandwich at 7-11 that much better

Looks like the curry rice and omurice are the winners here! We got the curry rice - it was beautifully spicy curry. We also got lots of the tapas/izakaya style dishes like pork ribs which were great. Also 3 dessert options. It has a pretty big selection of alcohol, Japanese and otherwise. Great spot to have a relaxed time it a lovely old Japanese home, restored in a modern style.

Great place to having dinner. I went there with my family due to nowhere else to eat. We didn’t expect that foods in this cafe will be so good and cheap as well. However, the potion of food might be a little bit small for people who come with family because they do a izakaya for night time but I understand that. Just bear in mind about it a little bit.

Nice coffee shop in Naoshima.I came because the review are so positive.The coffee shop is not on the main street, it's better to use maps to get the right direction. It also has sign on the road.There has English menu, the staff there do speak English too. Many foreigner customers came to here.I had a rice omelet with tomato sauce and plus set B, witch included salad, beverage and dessert. I choose chiffon cake. All of them are delicious. It's amazing there has such good food in the little island.The old traditional Japanese house is nice, have to take off the shoe before enter. Great experience here, if I came to Naoshima again, I will visit again.

Booked through our accommodation - Guesthouse Roji to Akari, which I think is affiliated to the restaurant. It’s a very quaint Japanese style restaurant - lovely staff who are friendly and, usefully for us, had very good English. The menu was quite short and simple - it is mainly accessible vegetable, fish and meat dishes (quite small plates) with some Western dishes (like quiche) as well. The food itself was delicious and the atmosphere inside the restaurant was very pleasant, with a mixture of Japanese customers and tourists, who all seemed to be having a great time.I would certainly highly recommend this place.

An atmospheric and beautiful cafe on a hill with friendly staff, the fastest wifi on the island (that we know of), and great food. This is a great place to sit and chill. Get the omurice, you won’t regret it.

Wonderful setting, best food, coffee and matcha on Naoshima. Combo sets at lunch are very nice, especially the curry with rice. Interior is really nice. You can sit at the bar, at tables or on tatami mats.

A total lifesaver on the island. Quaint little place with gorgeous view and cosy interiors. Excellent food at good rates. Recommend omelette rice with curry.

The only restaurant opened beter 1600hrs.... Not very polite to customers. Good curry though.

Lovely location, the radish and nori, chicken in tomato sauce and white fish were delish. The milk gelato was a nice way to finish the meal.

This place was fantastic. Great atmosphere, friendly and attentive staff, and great food. Definitely a must-visit while you are on Naushima!

Tasty lunch, calm atmosphere and lovely staff.

Lovely little cafe perched up a bank on the edge of Honmura. Quite difficult to find in the dark but once you pick up the small lit signs it's fine. Lovely atmosphere when we walked in and a tasty meal from friendly staff.

Probably the best restaurant on the island. Highly recommended as as must-visit spot, and please make sure to market reservation before going there. Rice omelet and saluted octopus are definitely delicious, special local fish is also awesome, if you are lucky enough.

Cute ambient cafe hidden in the hills near the art housing project. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. Good curry omelette rice and decent coffee. If you can fit in dessert, I recommend the cheesecake made with Japanese sweet potato.

Cosy, friendly place with great Japanese food and some international options for if you feel like it. Do get the pork rib stew and a drip coffee to finish, it is excellent. Travelers seem to find their way here, even though it is off the regular walking routes. Interesting sake selection.

They take reservations and you should make one ahead of time. They are the only restaurant open consistently and their food is 65% less than Benesse House food. It was delicious and the service was great. Get the curry dishes or the short ribs. The fish is just okay. They have great coffee, too!

Delicious omelette rice

We had a lovely meal at Nac Shima Honmura after walking around the island. the rice omelettes were comforting and delicious and the service was great. The tatami mats and ground chairs also added to the pleasant atmosphere.

I got the set lunch menu which included egg rice with curry, potato salad, coffee, and dessert (purple sweet potato cheesecake) for ¥1,430. The food was good, but not amazing. The coffee was great and done right. The sweet potato cheesecake was interesting and I would recommend trying it.The vibe of the place was the best. It’s a renovated old Japanese house with soft hipster vibes.It’s not on a main road.

Great place to relax. Seems to be a renovated traditional Japanese house with a nice little view. Staff are friendly. Maccha and sweet potato cake was good. Meals also look good (although I didn’t try) and are at a reasonable price. I went in January (2pm) so it wasn’t too busy but apparently there can be a que to get inside (I just walked in so no wait for me). I think you can make a reservation but I don’t know the process.

Super delicious food! Not many choices but the place has a fantastic feel. Staff is friendly and well versed in english.

We had the most delicious meal. The grilled fish with salt was outstanding. The staff were lovely. A hidden gem to go to if you are staying on Naoshima.

Ambience was really homey. Gave a warm and relaxing vibe. Food was ok, the cinnamon roast coffee was great. Closed early tho.

The food is not bad but the service staff aren't very friendly, except for one girl there. The rest seem to have sour expressions and literally were having a conversation about me while I was there, probably thinking I didn't know.
